Passive Chilled Beams

The Barangaroo C2 buildings is a world leader in innovation and sustainability, with the Barangaroo South precinct aiming to be a carbon-neutral community.

One sustainable design initiative the project implements is the use of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue Laminated Timber (Glulam) as the main structure. Both CLT and Glulam matches the strength of steel, whilst being far more sustainable, easier to work with on-site, and quieter during on-site construction.

FTF Group's X-Wing Radiant Passive Chilled Beam was supplied to the project, with the X-Wing being fully recyclable due to being manufactured from aluminum and copper (up to 65% recycled materials).
